SHARPIES ARE 0UT-
DESIGN IS IN!

Currently, I work in a tiny little family-owned deli called Cooper's. Not the most glamorous of roles, but when you're an artist, even the most mundane things can become a source of inspiration! I'm good friends with the produce guy Tim, and a large part of his job is scribbling out price and PLU signs for the produce section- so I thought, hey, what if my store had an infinite budget and could hire me to design those signs?

It was a fun exercise is design and formatting, and I'm stoked about the results. Could you picture a whole section full of signs designed by me?

"Brite lites"
Rainbow swiss chard

This border and format was borrowed from Community Involved Sustainable Agriculture, an organization dedicated to sustainable farming and supporting local growers. Red Fire farms is a local farm here in Massachusetts, included here with a red ribbon element, a nod to state fairs!

Local blueberries

Another staple from Red Fire Farm- local blueberries! I went simple and friendly with this design, adding a blueberry to the "I" as a little nod to Tim's original design.

JAZZ APPLES

Tim got really playful with this design, so I of course had to make it PLAYFUL-ier! A saxophone was the obvious icon for this produce sign, and it features wise words from Tim himself!
