REX KOVACS is a somewhat recent addition to the Northampton arts scene. Originally from Austin Texas, they relocated to Amherst for a fresh start after graduating from SCAD in 2024. Since then, they have made a name for themselves in the drag community as a frequent flyer designer, as a chalk artist for the Chalk Art Festival in 2024, and a privately hired muralist for Thornes in 2025. In 2026, they were voted Best Graphic Designer in the Valley reader poll, and since then has made it their mission to make 100% Human-made art and design accessible through their sliding scale pricing and "How to Commission an Artist" educational posts.
